Alma Media Corporation Press Release 22 June 2020
ALMA TALENT TO SELL ITS MEDIA BUSINESS IN SWEDEN
Alma Talent, which is part of Alma Media, has agreed on a share transaction to sell the share capital of Alma Talent Ab to New Technology Media Group Ab. In this transaction, the magazine and online media brands Ny Teknik, Lag & Avtal, Arbetarskydd, Personal & ledarskap and Teknikhistoria and their employees will be transferred to the new owner. The revenue of the business operations to be transferred in this business transaction was approximately MEUR 8.5 in 2019 and the number of employees 30. The parties have agreed not to disclose the price of the transaction. Due to the divestment of media business in Sweden, Alma Media will recognise one-time capital loss of approximately MEUR 2.7 in the second quarter.
"We have now gradually divested our traditional media business in Sweden. However, we will continue to operate in the Swedish market by further developing the business of the growing marketplace for business premises Objektvision.se. We are also searching for new opportunities in the digital B-to-B sector," says Juha-Petri Loimovuori, CEO of Alma Talent.
