Appt Corp Ltd t/a Mcdonald's: Largest UK McDonald's operator is first franchisee to sign Armed Forces Corporate Covenant

Appt Corp, which is better known as the UK's largest McDonald's franchisee
with 29 restaurants operating principally across north and west London has
become the first McDonald's franchisee in the UK to sign the Ministry of
Defence's Armed Forces Corporate Covenant.

By signing the covenant alongside Lt Gen James Bashall CBE, the Commander,
Home Command of the Army, Appt Corp recognises the vital work carried out by
the men and women of our armed forces and their families and is actively
paying tribute to their commitment to our country.

The covenant was signed by Atul Pathak, Appt Corp's Managing Director.

Signing the Covenant means Appt Corp has made a public commitment on behalf of
its more than 2500 employees to do more to support serving personnel,
veterans and reservists and in particular the aim of being as flexible as
possible in granting leave before and after a spouse or partner's deployment.

Appt Corp enthusiastically supports the covenant and has today pledged to take
on a number of responsibilities to demonstrate its commitment in ten areas
which include:

* To support the employment of veterans both young and old
* To strive to support the employment of service personnel's spouses and
* To promote service with the Reserve Forces to Appt Corp team members
* To support Appt Corp's employees who choose to be members of the armed
forces by accommodating their training and deployment where possible and by
granting an additional ten days unpaid annual leave
* To offer support to our local cadet units, either in our local community or
in local schools, wherever possible
