Sectra: Large London hospitals invest in imaging IT solution from Sectra

Linköping March 14, 2016 - The IT and medical technology company
Sectra (http://www.sectra.com/) (STO: SECT B) has signed a ten year
contract to supply a fully hosted private health cloud service for
radiology, breast imaging and a wide range of other medical imaging
to Guy's and St. Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust in London. Through this
investment the hospitals will benefit from communicating medical
images and information rapidly and efficiently with personnel from
both within the organization and with other external healthcare units
for improved quality of care.

With the private health cloud service, Sectra takes full
responsibility for the trust's imaging IT systems, generating major
cost and operational benefits for the hospitals as well as providing
a more resilient, scalable and secure solution.

Opting for a PACS-driven workflow Guy's andSt. Thomas' will provide
their radiologists with a single workstation for all their reporting
needs. The solution from Sectra will also make it easy to share
patient information and radiology images with other healthcare
organizations. Direct sharing will be possible with organizations
which use Sectra's solution, sharing with organizations which have
procured other vendors' imaging solutions will be possible using
Sectra's Image Exchange Portal Connect and Share solution. This
solution enables similarly efficient and secure sharing of images and
patient information, thus eliminating any manual requests and
transfers required in current processes.
